Crashed audiobook

As I nestled into my favorite spot on the balcony one breezy morning, I pressed play on my headphones and dived into Crashed by Adam Tooze. The ambiance of birds chirping combined with the soulful narration by Simon Vance and Adam Tooze instantly transported me to the world of Colton and Rylee.

Their journey, one of love interspersed with doubts and fears, deeply resonated with me. Many of us, especially women in their 30s like me, have faced these exact dilemmas in love – the push and pull of desires and practicalities. When Colton’s past shadows their blooming relationship, I felt the weight of their dilemmas, their choices. It reminded me of how past experiences, relationships, and mistakes, though gone, can still shape our current decisions and cloud our judgements.

The intricate dance of wanting to protect oneself, yet yearning for that deep connection, was beautifully conveyed. And while Colton’s inner turmoil was palpable, Rylee’s determination shone brightly. She struck me as a beacon of hope in their tumultuous journey, and I silently rooted for her, cheering on her perseverance and unwavering love.

I must give credit to the narrators. Vance and Tooze’s seamless narration was captivating. Their ability to convey the depth of the characters’ emotions made my listening experience truly immersive. It felt like they weren’t just reading the story; they were living it. And as the story came to its conclusion, I found myself lost in thoughts, reflecting on love, relationships, and the scars and strengths we carry from our past.
